One Day Only

On March 31 (US Time), this layout will be featured here. Yipee!

Sketch 136

I managed to finish 3 layouts and an altered clock last week. I think that's a record for me. *grin* That's scrapping in between a visit from a friend, unloading the boxes from the store room because I couldn't find my baby pictures, cooking and taking care of the girls. I had a great time scrapping while watching old episodes of Grey's. Don't you just love season 1?! Hihi.

Once you see sketch 136, you'll just want to scrap it because the sketch is soooo cute. Come join the fun at Scrapbook Challenges! Awesome prize is at stake!

Scrap Within Reach March Projects

For the month of March, I used the two new collections. I was a bit fazed with Industrial Park since I seldom do "boy" layouts! But, I must say that I love working with it and it can be used for girls as well. Hehe.

Layout : Thea

When I saw this photo of my Dawter T, I knew instantly that I would be using the Afternoon Tea collection. It's just perfect for a girly, dainty layout. And also, I love the effect of the Green Peony paper on the bird chipboard.

Scrap Within Reach's products :

Afternoon Tea Green Peony, Afternoon Tea English Breakfast, Afternnon Tea Raspberry Lace

Other Products :

Three Bugs In A Rug sticker, Maya Road bird chipboard

Card : Dress Up

My husband attended a christening ceremony as godfather one Saturday, and because of that, I was inspired to create this onesie card for the baby. Afternoon Tea's English Breakfast was perfect for the dress, the colors and the pattern is just fabulous for a baby girl's dress

Scrap Within Reach's products :

Afternoon Tea English Breakfast, Elliot Popsicles, The Cottage Picnic

Other Products :

Bazzill Cardstock (pink and brown), Making Memories brads, Carl Craft puncher, pink ricrac

Home Decor : Dream (Altered Clock)

I love personalizing wall clocks to give away to friends. And, since my girls see me doing it, they asked me how come our clock still doesn't have our picture. I decided to alter an Ikea clock using Industrial Park papers which is just perfect because the gears look like clock gears as well. The second circle's edges were hand cut to look like a gear. The same goes for the photos of my girls which I matted then handcut to look like gears.

Scrap Within Reach's products :

Industrial Park Historic District, Industrial Park The Factory

Other Products :

Ikea wall clock, Making Memories rub-ons, AC Thickers (fabric)

Be Positive, Use Negatives!

It was my turn to issue a challenge at SC. And, here's what I have chosen. ~~~~ The Use of Alpha Negatives!

Here's what I came up with :

I used the negatives of an old Heidi Grace Alpha Die Cuts. And, also used a very old Chatterbox pp! Woohoo! Here's to "using my stash"! Hehe.

That's Dawter T on the picture. I couldn't believe that my toothpick thin daughter is that chubby when she was still a baby. And that her hair's like that. Hehe. I remember how we used to put a bit of oil so that it won't stand. But, it was just so stubborn. Wish I can stop time? She's turning 7 this year and growing up wayyyy too fast.

Sketch 135

Busy, busy weekend. I thought I would be able to finish my scrapbooking tasks but there are still 3 more projects I need to do --- quickly.

Another awesome sketch from Pamela this week. Sketch 135 is now up at Scrapbook challenges. Do check it out and the other DTs' takes on the sketch.

Creativity

Dawter T called me up and told me that Bebi A tore her art and made a monster out of the girl in the picture. I know that it's not being mean. Bebi A doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She just don't understand.

I talked to Bebi A. Asked her to kiss and make up with her Ate, She did. Ate A told me that she went up to Dawter T and kissed her, then asked "Is this better, Ate?" Awwww...

Dawter T's "smashed" art was one of her best. I was really impresed. If only I have taken a picture of it this morning. It was really beautiful. It was a portrait of a girl, by the way. I hope that Dawter T can still replicate it.

I know that not all kids are alike. And, my daughters have their own endearing qualities. One's art is different from the other. Dawter T has the potential (not because I'm her mom, ok ok, it maybe because I'm her mom hahaha) and Bebi A's, well, let's just say abstract. Hehe.

Sketch 134

My weekend is not complete without doing a layout for Scrapbook Challenges. It's one routine that's mine and I always welcome the chance to think of ways to interpret Pamela's sketches. It's mojo booster and it helps me relax.
The Saturday that has passed was anything but relaxing. I couldn't believe that my temper has the capacity to flare up like that hahaha There were so many people that I argued with and I was broken hearted. Some of it was my fault but I always believe in standing up for my rights. And, that's what I did plus some more hehehe...
I am ok now. I have rested. I scrapped. So, it's back to regular programming. Plus one new channel in our lives, jogging. Yes, you read it right. Pre is making me jog. I guess he's tired of seeing me huffing and fat hahaha.
I am diverting to the main topic here. Sketch 134 is an awesome sketch and you should try it. I used Sassafras as the background and those handcut flowers are from Stemma. Check out the other layouts made by the SC DTs! They are just awesome!

Sketch 133

Using Sassafras Lass papers, created this layout from Pamela's very cute Sketch 133 which is now up at Scrapbook Challenges! I love how this turned out. I cut the rays of the sun from some Sassafras scraps and I am so contented with it.
