Christmas Tokens

I can't believe that I haven't finish my Christmas shopping! I am usually good that I don't let it run til 2 days before Christmas! But this month has just been so hectic!

Still managed to make these though. Made 9 for my colleagues... Small Christmas tokens that I hope they will like. Very economical and easy to make!

Winter Projects

Christmas Projects

Here are my Christmas projects for Scrap Within Reach.

The ring frame was made of newspapers that I rolled and wrapped. I then wrapped the ring with left-over Christmas wrappers.

For the poinsettias :

1. Cut a 2x1 inches of paper then fold it.
2. Cut a half petal shape out along the fold. The fold on the center makes a nice touch when you glue them together.
3. Repeat until you have 5 petals.
4. Glue the tips of the petals together until you form the poinsettias.
5. Adhere a button on the center.
6. Then, decorate the edges and tips with gold Stickles.

Thank You

This month is the last month with all three of my design teams. I am very thankful for the wonderful opportunities that they have given me. Thank you so much!

Next year will be different for me. I've decided to pursue non-scrapbooking commitments.

But, I will still be scrapping, still be joining challenges.

Thank you so much!

The Magic Begins

This is my take in the Round Robin at Scrapbook Challenges.

Rainy Days on Fridays

Makes it easier to welcome the weekend. The week that had passed is surely a blessing of sorts workwise. I've finally finished my project which was almost 6 months in the making. And, I am tackling a new one. Happy, Relieved, Ecstatic!

Last weekend was my on-call weekend. I didn't get to enjoy it. I was tooooo incredelous/mad with my user to enjoy my Saturday. Let me just say that the user ruined my Saturday and for this coming one, I intend to enjoy it. I will read, I will scrap and I will watch tv. I will not think about work. I will enjoy and not think about anything. This is for me. Like what Sister C encouraged me to do this morning.

Have a happy weekend!

Christmas Countdown

It's 24 days til Christmas! I am not sure why but I'm very excited this year. (notice my blog background?) We started with Christmas shopping last Sunday, maybe that's why! We were in Suntec City, and good thing we were there, there were lots of freebies! Hehehe... In fact, Pre had a great time making sand art. Hahaha...

Sketch 174 is out, hope you'll join us at Scrapbook Challenges.

Happy Turkey Day!

to families and friends in the US!

I have decided to write down what I am thankful for today, just want to celebrate this day (coz I won't receive emails from my boss who's in the US hahaha just kidding!). Seriously... Everyday, we have something to be thankful for, it will make our days brighter remembering them...

-o-

Very thankful to God, He's someone whom I can turn to... He never forgets even when I do...

For family and friends, colleagues as well...

For the days that had passed and days to come...

For food on our table...

For work though sometimes stressful...

For scrapbooking...

THANK YOU!

Inspired By

It was an idle day at work (yes, I do have some when my brain cells are just not working and would like to rest heehee) when I stumbled upon Piradee's blog. I have seen her work at the LSS but never really been to her blog until that day and I was amazed, in awe, and now a huge fan of her work.

It was so timely coz Mareng M thought of issuing another challenge for Scrappers At SG. I suggested to lift one of Piradee's work - her awesome calendars. Wrote to Piradee and she was so nice and gracious to us. She'll be judging the best calendar later on!

Here's my take on the challenge.

I used Emerson line from Scrap Within Reach.

Today

When I thought I would be disappointed, I was not.

It's part of God's plan. I have let go and LET GOD.

Magical Fridays

I love Fridays. I love that I can look forward to a weekend with my family. I love that I can sleep late and not worry about waking up early (though I am waking up early tomorrow to go to the doc!) I find Fridays --- magical.

I leave with some peeks on my SWR projects.

Can you guess what they are? Have a great weekend!

What's Another Use For Cutterbee?

Cutting hair.

Dawter T didn't go through that phase. Unfortunately, Bebi A did.

When I arrived home from work, I came upon Bebi A cutting her fringe. I screamed (which is sooo not good). And, she got scared. Good thing she didn't poke her eye with the scissors.

In Everything

I felt bad for the series of mishaps this week... I am raring to bounce back from it.

So, if you're feeling down, why don't you list down the things that made you smile...

  • Bebi A munching a pack of Chili Cheeze Corn bits and drinking a cup of Soya Milk with Pearl. *takaw*
  • My boss asking me and the other APAC IT gal here to purchase a new laptop this November... (Woohoo! I am so tired waiting for my laptop to boot up every morning. I already made coffee and still the apps are not loaded.)
  • That Dawter T doesn't feel that she's too old for cuddling. I asked her, "do you mind that Mommy's *ehem* chubby?". She said no. In fact she likes it. *ok, ok, I didn't threaten her!*
  • For the rain.
  • Reading Joel Osteen's devotional today - In Everything.
  • Finding my long, lost umbrella. Yey!
  • For our Christmas wreath hanging at our gate, it was made by my dear tito-in-law. Last night, I heard our neighbors say "HO, HO, HO!"
  • For the RAK I received! Woohoo!
  • For this list. It actually made me smile again remembering all the things above.

So, if you're feeling a bit off, I encourage you to list down the things that makes/made you happy or things you are looking forward to.

Her Carriage

This is one of my favorite layouts. Love the pumpkins and the concept. Dawter T and I had a photoshoot at Dhoby Gaut station. Good thing, she was game to pose for some photos. But, I can sense that she was a bit embarassed. What can I say but she's growing up?

Thankful

I am very thankful for this chance, when our family went to Hong Kong to celebrate Dawter T's 7th birthday. It was very eventful, what with the missing autograph book and Bebi A falling sick on our last day. But, these, I know, we'll always treasure in our hearts and minds. Let Pre and I be reminded always that what's important are our togetherness as a family, doing things together, sharing special memories.

Made this for Scrap and Stamp, been wanting to join so finally... Used a Technique Tuesday frame stamp and lots of stickles *wink*

On SWR Blog

Every week, Scrap Within Reach will feature the DT's creations. And, this week, guess who's on the blog? Hehehe...

The box came when we bought gourmet popcorn at Cathay. Told myself that it can be altered later on so I saved it.

Halloween is just around the corner, though we don't celebrate it here. My scrap buddies and I planned on a Halloween scrapmeet! This is perfect for the Halloween gift swap!

Instructions are up at SWR's blog!

I Am Still ALIVE

Yeah, I've been a bad blogger, scrapper, etc. Not without a good reason. Work. Life. It happened.

I am planning to rectify it soon. Bought some "Mojo Come Back" patterned papers. And, I am trying to let go of negative vibes. *wink*

So, watch out. New posts coming soon!

Wonderful Surprise

Still down from terrible cough/colds... It was not just me, also Bebi A. I worked from home yesterday and was not able to do a lot of things because my laptop was in the office.

Jumped out from the bed because I remembered something. I forgot to turn off a program, it shouldn't run on the server in Japan. And, I was 1 hour late! Huhuhu... I am pretty sure I will get a scolding on Tuesday, Monday even. Wahhhh... So, all day long, there's this knife in my chest... Arghhhh... *I want to knock my head on the wall!!!*

What brightened up my night was blog hopping and finding out that I WON!!!

Thank you, Scrap-It-Lah!

Gong Joo

Very seldom do I scrap about other people in my life. My scrap subjects are usually my daughters. I want to do something for Sister C with the photo below.

Gong Joo is princess in Korean. Fitting for her coz of her love for Korean drama. I added Prima flowers which she loveeeeee so much. Hehe. And after a long while, I finally used paper rolling! Woohoo, I think I'll be using this more on my future projects. It's just so much fun to do!

When I was writing the journal, it strucked me that she's a Princess because her father is the ONE TRUE KING. She has made Jesus the center of her life and I hope she will continue to do so. That she'll be more zealous in facing her challenges --- Aja aja Fighting!

You can come join us at MySpace ~~~ you will never regret this, I promise! Or leave a link on Pamela's thread here and you are eligible to win some prizes! What are you waiting for?

Enjoy

This month is Ed's Sketch's 1st year anniversary and I wish them more success in their future endeavors and challenges! More power!

I used a flower stamp with small leaves on the side of the photo, I borrowed it from Sister C. I specially love the upper left corner of this layout. Tore the paper then pasted the same paper but using the back which is color maroon. Then cut out some flowers and leaves to compliment it.

Friends Forever

Using Sketch 160 at Scrapbook Challenges, made this layout that I also submitted to Scrap It Lah.

The picture was taken at Fisherman's Wharf in SFO. These two ladies are my best buddies. No matter how far, or near... How long or how short... We seem to pick up where we left of. I miss them so much. Z is from SFO while A is from Minneapolis. Ok, ok... I must mention the one who took the picture, our barkada's genius, Kuya S who's from NY. I am so grateful to them for coming to SFO to see me. It was a night to remember.

Blog Background

I am not in the right disposition to work... Maybe a bit lazy, still giddy from Bebi A's recovery so I just tinkered with my blog background. The new background you're seeing is made by yours truly. Hehehe... Still have to tinker some more to get the design I want but for now, this is the new face of my blog.

Delayed LO Posts

This is one of my SWR projects last August that I didn't get to post. Was really busy at work before our vacation. This uses Afternoon Tea collection. I used Sketch 159 at Scrapbook Challenges for this layout.

This was taken at Singapore Zoo while waiting for the elephant show.

The Ordeal Is Over

Thank you so much for your prayers and concern! My little girl is on her way to recovery! She woke up very early asking for water and was not able to hold it down. *so scared at this point*

Then, we went out to the living room and hang. Her Ninang gave her some pens and we used that to play Tic Tac Toe. We noticed that she started sweating which is a good sign according to Ate A. As we played, I tricked *yeah* her to eating some rice and bacon. After she finished the serving, she started complaining of tummy ache again, she slept and we monitored if she will wake up to throw up. She did not!

She was a bit grumpy when she woke up. But lightened up when she asked if she can play Wii. I thought that it's a good sign so I let her. She was so lethargic the past few days so playing Wii Sports will really help her be active once more.

And, as they say, the rest is history. She played for maybe 3 hours --- tennis, bowling, baseball... And now, as I write this, she's in front of the computer, sharing time with her Ate T.

I am so thankful to God for this blessing, for His healing hands....

The Scrappy Shack

While I wait for Bebi A to wake up so that I can force, haggle, blackmail her into eating... I blog hopped (Marix Marte and Jen Hansen) and found a GREAT GIVEAWAY AT SCRAPPY SHACK!

Head over to The Scrappy Shack and find out how to win awesome diecuts in celebration of Loree's birthday!

On Our Way Back

My Bebi A got sick during our vacation and has not recovered since. She's been vomiting since Tuesday and haven't eaten anything. I am really, really worried. I haven't gone back to work and I just hope that my boss will understand my predicament. I just can't leave the house for work and I just can't work from home these days.

I really hope she gets better soon. If not, I think she'll be checked in to a hospital so that she won't be dehydrated. Please help us pray for her recovery.

Up And About

I was feverish last Thursday and went to take a one-day medical leave. Got a bit better (and drowsy due to meds) so I thought I was superwoman and take on Dawter T's birthday as if I am well. Woke up at 6AM to go to mass with Dawter T. Then, cooked some of Dawter T's fave dishes. Even if we didn't really have a party, me in the kitchen means standing the whole time, in front of the stove, washing my hands ~~~ so I guess that would really call for a relapse.

Still managed to go to work on Monday but was already feeling droopy. Got a 1 day medical leave the next day (Yey! No meeting for me!) but still was not feeling better so I went back to the doctor and this time gave me another 2 days. Spent the days sleeping and trying to recuperate.

Still have colds and cough but I don't feel like being cooped at home. So here I am, at the office, blogging, blog hopping, posting at SC and FBing...

Here's last Monday's Sketch 158 at Scrapbook Challenges.

Sketch 157

There's just a sketch that when you see it, you already know what you'll do with it. This is one of them! This layout is full of Sassfras goodness.
