Goodbye?

Life (or maybe scrapbooking) takes you to places, to people you never thought you'd see or meet.

Anyways... I am not really saying goodbye to my Singapore Scrapmates but we just met up UNTIL THE NEXT CROP. Where and when? Not sure yet. LOL.

I was soooo inspired by Mareng E's vintage party that I wanted to make a kit for my friends to play with but I do not want to make a sample. Gosh! No! Hahaha... My guests are veteran scrapbookers, they know their way around. When my mind is not confined to work, I was thinking about papers and gimmicks for the crop. Initially, I thought of one sketch where everyone will follow. But, nah, the people coming have their own style and I wanted to challenge their comfort zone. It all fell into place when Sister C said, why not pattern it after Amazing Race! And, that was it, ideas just started to flow.

So anyways, I gave them start line task which was to guess a phrase in order for them to get their DETOURS. Then, once they finish their detours, they can get their sketch and kits.

The kits are composed of Amy Tangerine papers, my latest love. And, I was so happy that they loved it. It was so much fun playing with Amy's papers. Hayyy this is a lot like the love I had for the Love, Elsie line before. Hehe.

It was pure bliss. Giving them their own sketches proved to be a gem. Even with the papers and sketch, they still made it their own! More stories of Mareng B's blog.

Thanks to the yummy food that Bebang and Mareng E brought!
Thanks to the tools/stamps/etc. that Mareng B loaned us!
Thanks to Mader L for bringing the Selphy printer!
Thanks to Sister C for all her help with the conceptualization and for trying to find ink for the Selphy!

Love you girls!

A Little Bit Of Sweetness

This a scraplift from Bebang Rulona's A Life Full Of Wonders!

Remember this? It was only today that I was able to finish a layout for the title. Thank you to my dear friend, Jolanda!!!

This is for our current challenge at Scrappers AT SG which is to scraplift another LO in the blog.

Shine

Finallllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.... I've managed to scrap after 2 weeks... It really is a great feeling to be with my papers again hahaha

This is my entry to Scrappers AT SG's Challenge #36 by Bebang and sponsored by Made With Love. This is inspired by a layout created by Ingvild Bolme - so in love with her work!

I always start my day by reading Today's Word by Joel and Victoria Osteen. This particular reading inspired me so much that I keep a copy of it in my bag. I plan to put this in my workstation so that I will remember that with God's help, I can overcome anything.

Fearless

My take on Scrappers@SG's round robin. I was the last one on my team and it's so great to see how the layout has evolved. Please check out the layouts of the other members. They're awesome, I tell you!

My little girl is turning 8 next Sunday. I can't believe it!!! I always say that time flies very fast. But, it's true. I can remember how anxious I was and so impatient for her to come out. And, when she did, I fell in love over and over again.
At 7, she now have crushes. Yeah. What can I do, right? But, be her friend hehehe be her annoying friend who tries to make her tell me everything. Hahaha. She likes to dress up and has her own style. She loves to stay glued to anything electronic (computer, tv, Iphone, DS, arggghhhh) but she's still my little girl, and that won't change. It's 10 days away. I want to savor her at seven.

Four

It's a brand new month at Scrappers AT SG and the July Angels are challenging you to stamp, emboss and create handmade flowers!

My Bebi who's no longer a Bebi is turning 5 on the 5th. Time flies so fast. And, she's growing up to be her own person. She's making decisions now. Hehe. Oh, I love this little girl so much.

>

Anyway, this layout took 5 hours to prepare but took me 30 minutes to execute. I couldn't find a photo of Bebi A. I've been scrapping Dawter T's photos that I haven't been printing solo pictures of Bebi A. (and last night my ink ran out), from my stack of papers --- none of them appealed to me last night, it has to compliment with the gold-embossed frame. So Webster Pages pp to the rescue! I guess, it's my go-to paper these days. And, of course since I was running out of time hahaha I was only able to make one paper flower (the green one) which I misted and "stickled", the pink roses are mulberry flowers. No other paper were used aside from the Webster Pages background paper and the paper rose which was made from scraps.

Seven

Finally, it's done and I can move on. Haha! It took time to cut all those 6 petal flowers, glue and curl them. But, I loved it! Though I was a bit frustrated that after adhering all those flowers, my creative juice stopped flowing. I will probably take another shot during daylight because the light didn't do justice to my lovely flowers, hehehe. I just had to post this tonight so that I can relax and that this won't be hanging on my head. I consider this as one of my LOs which took TIME to finish. It took more than SEVEN days. And seeing this before I sleep and after I wake up can be quite frustrating.

So, ok, I am rambling. Happy Saturday! One more day and it's back to the grind!

A New Convert

I am. With TA's Glimmer Mist. What can I say? It's better late than never, right? In a matter of days, I accumulated 3. Ok. I will stop at 3. For the meantime. Hehe.

We just celebrated Scrappers @ SG's 3rd Anniversary this afternoon. It was sooo much fun! And, one thing I have realized, people even in scrapbooking needs new things to learn, to do. Oh, the games were "recycled" ~~~ we've done it before. But, the challenge was something that got most of the members' artistic side perk up. We've played with mist, they played with paints (hehehe), we embossed, we shared ideas. It was enchanting!
Thank you, Ladies!

This is what I've done this afternoon. I've misted the butterflies hahaha *yes I am still a bit afraid spraying onto my background paper. I've stamped the swirls and that beautiful stamp (Sealed With Love from Pamela), heat embossed, stickled, etc. Papers on the grid were from scraps. The mat was from my Webster Pages 6x6 pack and maximized it by using only 1 6x6 for the mat and the stamped images/swirls. Hehehe.

On Holidays

After the long weekend, I need another set of holidays. Most part of Good Friday was spent in church. Saturday came and so are my friend's family. Spent a good deal preparing lunch then had a good chat with them over food. Easter Sunday was super! It was spent at the salon (not that my hair is spectacular overnight but the weight of hair on my shoulders was just unbearable hahaha so a good cut was really something). And, did I mention that through it all, I was nursing a very bad cold!

Of course, it had to open during a holiday/weekend.

I also spent some of the weekend preparing invites! Hehehe. Here's a sneak peek! Hope the girls will love these.

Garfield Love

My friend, B, loves bored cat, Garfield. She loves it so much that it's all over her room. One Christmas, the kids trooped there and played with her stuffs. Dawter T loved Garfield (much to my dismay hehehe *wink* and much to my friends ever happiness)

Road To Recovery

This is my first layout for 2010 and it's already February. I started making this last January but was soooo busy that I couldn't finish. Finally!

After the long hiatus, it's a joy to finally finish a layout. Before, I took it for granted that scrapbooking is sort of a given part of my life, that whatever happens, I will be able to create when I want to, when I need to. I know, I know this overly dramatic hehe but it's the truth. Life happens and there are things you can't control --- especially time.

The LO is also in time for Valentine's day. Different pictures, different locations, I feel that it didn't blend. Hehe...

But today, I just feel that the most important thing is that I finally finished one. *wink* I hope I am on the road to recovery.

Inspired By

It was an idle day at work (yes, I do have some when my brain cells are just not working and would like to rest heehee) when I stumbled upon Piradee's blog. I have seen her work at the LSS but never really been to her blog until that day and I was amazed, in awe, and now a huge fan of her work.

It was so timely coz Mareng M thought of issuing another challenge for Scrappers At SG. I suggested to lift one of Piradee's work - her awesome calendars. Wrote to Piradee and she was so nice and gracious to us. She'll be judging the best calendar later on!

Here's my take on the challenge.

I used Emerson line from Scrap Within Reach.

Whoa!

Last night, I mentioned in my post that I have already made 3 layouts. I couldn't believe that after writing that, I still have the energy to create one more. Big accomplishment as I thought that my mojo has runaway and not coming back hehehe

For Sketch 156 at Scrapbook Challenges

Initially the photo for this layout was the one I used for Nutty Princess Smile but something was off, I couldn't finish it. So, I decided to change. It's quite simple though.

For Annie's Sunny Days at Scrapbook Challenges :

I labored with the flower handcut but I must say that WRMK papers still hold a magical effect on my scissors. Though I noticed that for every line, I seemed to have this sort of layout. Hehehe. Two flower clusters and photo on the middle. Still, I love it! And, this photo is when I was still young and thin!!!

Lastly, for Scrappers At SG :

I am very thankful for Mareng B for always thinking of ways to revive the group. With everybody's busy schedule, we are not able to meet up anymore, we don't even issue challenges. Last Friday, Cute#1 asked us to post a challenge just to bring the group to life (yeah, yeah, like the song! ~Bring Me To Life~ that's what I was thinking.)

So where's LO # 4, I cannot share it yet. Stay tuned as Pamela brings up the new sketch on Monday!

Thank you so much for looking!

Hope

After our December hiatus, we're starting 2009 with Hope at Scrappers At SG. It's a year of uncertainties but most people I know are hoping that 2009 will be bestowed with blessings far more than we expect.

I always liked Emily Dickenson's saying about Hope. I was supposed to use my Rhonna Farrer rub-ons (the one in tin can). Unfortunately, those unused rub-ons could not be "rubbed" anymore. Wahhh! That's what I got from not using my supplies. I was a bit dissapointed because I liked that very much.

Give Love On Christmas Day

Well, not only on Christmas day, but everyday.

Last April (if I'm not mistaken), Scrappers At SG created 124 pages for SCKC. Last Saturday, we managed to create 100 pages. I urge you to help the endeavor, it can be by posting the SCKC endeavor, donating some of your scraps/stash or by also creating 6x6 pages and send to Julie.

And, mind you, Mareng M, tagged as the girl with the big heart (hihi), is promoting this endeavor with a RAK. So hop on over to her site and know more about the SCKC endeavor.

A little help goes a long way!

About A Girl

Different sides of Dawter T but as her mom, it boils down to one thing --- she's lovely!

I am still working using my scraps. These are my OA scraps. It feels good whenever those scraps are used up, it is as if I'm pinching to save the environment. Hahaha.

This is my entry to Sister C's challenge in Scrappers At Sg and also my take in Andrea's (SC DT) White Space Challenge (literally white space hehehe).

33

This is a scraplift from Sister C.

Last July 3, I wrote that I want to scrap an LO about me. It was at the back of my mind the whole month and it stayed there until last night. It may not be the exact sentiments but this is what I see myself this year --- the year I turned 33.

There were so many challenges that came and overpassed, there were a lot of adult decisions that was made and needs to be done this year. I thank the Lord for giving me and my family the strength and provisions.

Things That Make Me Go Hmnn

This is a simple layout I made for Challenge#20 of Scrappers At SG. Our challenge this time is about being Shopaholic. I hate to admit it but I am especially with rub-ons, pens and AC Thickers. I just couldn't get enough of them. But, I made a pact hehe that I would slow down for awhile. We have to save up for something big, not scrap supplies big though hehehe but one that will alter the course of our lives hehehe so dramatic, please pardon me! Also, I want to use up all my papers before I buy new ones. Hopefully, I get to scrap more in the next few days.

Live, Laugh, Love

This was a scraplift from Ces during Scrappers at SG's June Scrapmeet. I was not able to take a picture of Ces' layout though. Thanks, Ces!

I love these photos of Dawter T which was taken on August 2007 at Vivo City. I have long wanted to scrap these photos but I didn't have any idea how to do it.

The We R Memory Keepers Write Out Collection got to be my fave line! Love, love the flowers and swirls which I can cut out. I am embellishments-handicapped thus the technique most prominent in my LOs is paper cutting.

The Love Of A Father

This was taken on Bebi A's second day. We were all at my hospital room and Pre wanted to put Bebi A under the sun (near the window will do hehehe) as we were both afraid that we'll have the same experience as our first born where we had to leave Dawter T behind because she has jaundice. To cut the story short, we brought her home with us, safe and healthy. Prayers and love are just what it needs for a miracle!

Pre is a good father to the two girls. He loves them so much but never spoils them with material things. He tries to balance it out. He disciplines them but never to the extent of becoming to harsh. With that, the two girls love him back.
We are all blessed to have him and we wish him a (BELATED) Happy Father's Day!

Materials Used :

October Afternoon Gazebo, October Afternoon Dirt Roads, Stemma Memories, AC Thickers Black Vinyl, K&Co
