Seven

Finally, it's done and I can move on. Haha! It took time to cut all those 6 petal flowers, glue and curl them. But, I loved it! Though I was a bit frustrated that after adhering all those flowers, my creative juice stopped flowing. I will probably take another shot during daylight because the light didn't do justice to my lovely flowers, hehehe. I just had to post this tonight so that I can relax and that this won't be hanging on my head. I consider this as one of my LOs which took TIME to finish. It took more than SEVEN days. And seeing this before I sleep and after I wake up can be quite frustrating.

So, ok, I am rambling. Happy Saturday! One more day and it's back to the grind!

Have You Ever Had Those Days?

When you can't seem to put together a decent layout. The basics are there. But, it's not clicking. Something's wrong but you don't know what it is and I don't know what to add, what to remove haha Oh well. I am getting impatient. I don't want to just finish it coz I've put too much effort hahaha (you'll know why once I have posted it)

Usually, the times that I can't seem to finish are the times when I am stingy, when I don't to cut my papers, when I don't want to use new embellishments. Haha!

I hope I can finish it soon. As in tonight. It's my entry here. And I want to start with something new. Coz you see, I am the type who can't start a new layout unless I finish the one I am doing. Sad. Haha.

Classes And Sketch 201

{sorry for the grainy photos}

Thursday night, my dear cousin B came. The goal is to attend classes. We managed to book two classes, one at Papermarket, the other at Laines. Both classes were great! Learned techniques and it was fun rushing albums for 3 hours. Haha. Cousin B, I miss you already! It was so much fun going to these classes with you! Hopefully we can go to our dream class! Ha!

We managed to get a good number of freebies at our class at Laines, mostly Melody Ross goodies and they also gave us cute little Glossy Accents, promise, it's so cute! The packaging is like the one of Stickles.

It's fun going to classes. I wish to go to another one on June. Hubby asked why though. Hmp!

And, here's Sketch 201 at Scrapbook Challenges. Sad to say with all the classes and food that my cousins and I pigged out on, I didn't have time to create a layout out of this sketch. But, I will try this week! Definitely! The sketch has so many possibilities!

Blessings For Her Birthday

Sister C recently subscribed to Unity Stamps kit. And, instead of sending her the May kit. They sent them 2 April kits. And after my sister emailed them, they told her that she can just give out the extra kit. Wow!!! Unity Stamps is so generous!

So, here's your chance to own one of the April kits she received. Simply follow her blog, post it somewhere and comment on her POST.

"Inspired" ME

What's the "bestest" thing to happen for a Webster Pages addict like me?

To have my WP layout "LOVE" featured at their gallery! Woohoo! This is the second time for me and I am really --- beyond thrilled! It sure made my flu go away for a bit and post this! Haha. The medicinal benefits of scrapbooking glory!

Thank you, Webster Pages! I {Heart} You very much!

Happy Mother's Day!

I love this day! :D Got to spend it with my sweets. Thank you for the paper roses which was inside a used Yakult (my eldest told me that the Yakult was to be used as pencil holder!). Two cards from my youngest, one in English, another one in Mandarin! Life is sooo good (despite the drama!) Hahaha!

The Reason Why I Love Being A MOM :D

Because It Feels So Good To PUSH.

When it's almost the finish line and the process was excruciatingly painful, all you want to do is push yourself for a few more steps. It's the same thing with labor, when they ask you to push and the baby's head has come out, it's the greatest feeling EVER! I did it twice. Two different experiences. Both times, I love it! I love becoming a MOM.

Seriously, it's not just about the push hehehe It's everything. When you're not yet home, somebody misses you and will keep calling you until you tell them that you're already at the lift lobby. And, when you're home and they are in the mood, somebody will ask for hugs and kisses to have a good night sleep. It's the little things that make it all worthwhile.

My girls bring me so much happiness. Though there are times they drive me insane. Haha. But, they are our life. They are my ALL.

It's About Time

I first saw altered clocks when I was looking for Christening souvenirs for my youngest daughter. I thought it was hard to alter one. 3 years after, I've decided to conquer my fear when I saw a 3 dollar wall clock at Ikea (that's in Singapore dollars) so I thought it won't be too painful if I mess up the clock, it would then make a good frame. Hehe.

Was I surprise on how easy it was! (well, after getting over the fear of removing the clock hands *wink*) But I promise, it doesn't take long to take it apart. It took me more time to look for the patterned paper that would go well with my photo! Hehe.

This a great gift to your friends and family. And, very economical too!

Scrapbook Challenges Pit Stop #19

Welcome to Scrapbook Challenges' 4th DT Blog Hop!

I am so glad you stopped by my humble abode. If this is your first time here, I am Sookie or Salme in most forums. If you've come by Natalie's blog then you're on the right track coz I am your 19th stop, the second to the last! If you just stopped in, please make sure that you start at Pamela's blog first so that you won't miss out on any inspiration.

And, Yesssssssss, I am so happy to tell you that I am back as design team member for Scrapbook Challenges!

Scrapbook Challenges is a NING-based forum. It has been around since 2007 in MySpace! Every week, Pamela issues an original sketch to challenge your creative side. Aside from the sketches, the design team also issues challenges, "games" and tutorials. If you need mojo-booster, join Scrapbook Challenges (that is, if you're not a member yet)! And then, there's the thing about prizes! Hehe. Every month, if you make a layout from the sketch/challenges, you are entered into a monthly draw for that month's grand prize! And, let me tell you, the prizes are AWESOME!!!

Onto this hop, Pamela has designed a sketch that would tickle your fancy.

And, here's my take...

Did the sketch make you want to scrap now? Here are some more incentives!!!

1. One lucky person who leaves a comment on all of the blogs in the blog hop will win a the April Scarlet Lime kit. Yum! Yum!

2. One person who does the sketch and posts in the Hop On section will win the "My Family" line from Fancy Pants Designs. What are you waiting for???

3. A pack of Prima flowers for those who will join Scrapbook Challenges this weekend

4. Another pack for someone who INVITES someone to the group this weekend (through the invite link on the group).

5. Lastly, a small token from me for, you just need to leave a comment to be entered in the drawing.

Thank you for dropping by!

Be more inspired and hop on to BRYNN for the last stop!
