Making Time

When my husband told me that I would probably have less time for scrapbooking once we move down under, I didn't believe him! I adamantly told him that it won't happen. But, as the days passed, I slowly became afraid coz it's happening. The little time that I have, I spend it with reading and watching. LOL.

Well, I just received a reply to my email to a friend. And, I really felt rejuvenated. After reading it, I wanted to run to the room full of boxes and open it and start cutting and pasting. Well, I probably might later. Much, much later. Thanks, Bebang! You are truly an inspiration!

Moving Forward

This is very sentimental to me because this layouts marks my acceptance of the move, since I've finally scrapped it. It's 6 weeks to go and counting... This was actually the first layout where I used All About Me papers. In fact, I even used the die cut papers. But, it's like the title, I have to move forward too with my materials. Hahaha...

My friends and I were chatting earlier about the current challenge at Scrappers@SG when we decided to try online scrapping.

This is from Pencil Lines 196. And, this was supposed to be a 30 minute layout turned to 1 hour. Oh what pressure! Hehehe!

Simple Pleasures

Still misting. Used Mareng B's TA template. Love it! This took a long time to finish because I couldn't find the right papers to cut. Hehe. Rushed to Laine's yesterday, good thing the Prima patterned paper was still there. The "staple" butterfly is still there (and will probably be in my other LOs for a longgggg time, in fact, I am eyeing MS Monarch butterfly but LSS still haven't got the shipment. Sana dumating na at sana tawagan ako! Adik!) That's one of my life's simple pleasures!

I Feel Blessed

And, once again, another week passed me by and I have no projects to share. I am itching to cut and paste but been really busy --- at work, at home and at church --- I am assisting in teaching level 3 kids in our parish, we're preparing them for their first Holy Communion.

I miss making Pamela's sketches. Received news the Scrapbook Challenges will be having a Use Your Stash online crop! I hope I can join. Next week is pretty busy. Saturday is for Catechism class, then there's a shower party for Pre's High School friend, and Pre's close friend is coming over from the Philippines.

I am not complaining. I've got rewards this week. Last Wednesday, decided to make Strawberries N Cream. When Bebi A saw it, she said "You're the *besest* mom in the world!" Food is all that little girl can think about!

Then this afternoon, while Dawter T and I were preparing for Catechism. She asked me "Why do you want to be a Catholic teacher?" I think she doesn't know how to say Catechism.

I told her my reason. "We've been blessed with so many things and I felt that this is one way for me to give something back to the Lord." With that, she gave me a tight hug. Awwww... I was so pleased.

I Am Still ALIVE

Yeah, I've been a bad blogger, scrapper, etc. Not without a good reason. Work. Life. It happened.

I am planning to rectify it soon. Bought some "Mojo Come Back" patterned papers. And, I am trying to let go of negative vibes. *wink*

So, watch out. New posts coming soon!

Up And About

I was feverish last Thursday and went to take a one-day medical leave. Got a bit better (and drowsy due to meds) so I thought I was superwoman and take on Dawter T's birthday as if I am well. Woke up at 6AM to go to mass with Dawter T. Then, cooked some of Dawter T's fave dishes. Even if we didn't really have a party, me in the kitchen means standing the whole time, in front of the stove, washing my hands ~~~ so I guess that would really call for a relapse.

Still managed to go to work on Monday but was already feeling droopy. Got a 1 day medical leave the next day (Yey! No meeting for me!) but still was not feeling better so I went back to the doctor and this time gave me another 2 days. Spent the days sleeping and trying to recuperate.

Still have colds and cough but I don't feel like being cooped at home. So here I am, at the office, blogging, blog hopping, posting at SC and FBing...

Here's last Monday's Sketch 158 at Scrapbook Challenges.

33

This is a scraplift from Sister C.

Last July 3, I wrote that I want to scrap an LO about me. It was at the back of my mind the whole month and it stayed there until last night. It may not be the exact sentiments but this is what I see myself this year --- the year I turned 33.

There were so many challenges that came and overpassed, there were a lot of adult decisions that was made and needs to be done this year. I thank the Lord for giving me and my family the strength and provisions.

Turning 33

feels like 23. Hahaha. How I wish my body would think so too. But, Mareng M and I talked about how our bodies were giving telltale signs that we're getting old. Pains were here and there. I still feel blessed despite that I am 10kg heavier hahaha

Thank you to Ate A.

Thank you to my family and friends. Mwah!

To my buddies who indulged me in a last minute "bonding" since we need to stuff a friend with lots and lots of carbo for their marathon tomorrow.

Thank you to my sis C!

And, to my Pre who surprised me with a treasure hunt. And, of course my daughters' hugs and kisses. Love you!!!

Blessed

I've never felt so blessed in my whole life than this week (that's why even though this is my scrap blog, I want to share with you my thoughts... Hehehe). I've been going through some trials as of late and it is keeping me restless the whole day and night.

But, the Lord has been showing me How great He is, that He is a good provider! That if I rely on Him, everything will fall into place. It happened.

The things I've asked of him happened. That just shows how wonderful He is.

To all who of us who is going through a rough patch, cheer up, we are blessed! Call on to Him who knows your needs. He will bless you.

As what my Sister C told me, "GREAT EXPECTATIONS"! Expect, Plan and the Lord will make way.

Out Cold

I was down with stomach flu last Sunday til Monday, but was givena 2 day MC til yesterday. If I am not wrong, it's one of the few times that I didn't blog hop while on leave. I must be really sick! There's still pain every now and then, but I am ok now. Though, there was something unexpected at the office to welcome me back. Anyway, at least it's over and it's a no work day again tomorrow.

Last Saturday, we celebrated Scrappers At SG's 1st anniversary. We had loads of fun! Our aim is to be able to scrap one LO during that meet. To add a twist to it, we had to scrap another scrapper's photo. I got Bheng's photo and this is what I did! I hope Bheng and Duday liked it!

You & Me

I seemed to be doing a lot of flower/bird cut-outs lately. I tend to look for flower patterns like the above. Is this just a phase? Hehe. I love this Webster Pages' "Delight" paper from the Sweet Charity Collection. The color is refreshing.

I Want To Grow Old With You

This has become my fave layout to date because of the picture (I was still thin!!!) which was taken on Pre's birthday (Ninong Mah took this) at ECP, year 2001. This is one of our pre-nup pictures hehehe And, the title is one of our songs (by Adam Sandler) in our wedding video! Hehe!

Also, the moment I saw the Imaginisce Loves Me papers last Thursday, I knew that this is what I am going to use for this layout. I loved cutting the flowers (ermmmm during office hours yesterday --- the only thing that would have prevented me from taking leave hahaha so bad!)

Materials Used :

PP - Imaginisce Loves Me ---> So Happy Together, Weak in the Knees, Words Can't Express, Love is in the Air
AC Thickers Chipboard and Maddie Ann die cut fonts (thanks, Elvi!)

One LO a Day?

I am 2 week vacation from office work ehem ehem (I just hope "THEY" don't call me and let me do house work in peace hehehe). I've been very excited because first thing that came to my mind was that I can scrap.

*Blag*

Back to reality, NOT!!!

Yesterday was the first day of my "vacation" but housework and my girls were tougher adversaries hehehe Managed to finish a card for one of my friends who are leaving Singapore for good.

Hmmm, although they were tough, it feels really good to do these things. But, I really wish I can start creating stuffs. Here are my to dos :

1. Monograms for office colleagues (ladies only) hehehe
2. My cousin's album

Letting Go

How do you let go of your patterned papers?

I have this bad habit of hording then stacking then hmmm, ok later on, forget about them when the new pps arrive.

It's a bad, bad thing.

It's also hard for me to just let go of my favorites. Sometimes, I buy 2 of each so that even if I use one, I still have a spare to keep. Haha!

Weird me!

Our Story

My Pre's take on this and it made me laugh --- "Your LO looked like Frankenstein!" What does he know, right? He should be happy that I am scrapping our pictures hehehe Seriously though, I love his comments. There are a lot of things I learn from it. Thank you, Pre! And, advance Happy BF-GF Anniversary! Oh so cheesy!

Materials Used :

Bazzil White Cardstock, Basic Grey Phoebe, Daisy Bucket, 3 metal bellies (7 Gypsies) from Marix.

Techniques :

Inked the sides of all the papers. Tore some of them. Stitched the torn part of the cardstock. Sand the edge of the BW photo.

By accident (?), the rubons couldn't transfer completely, maybe because of the paper being crumpled. But I loved how it added to make the LO looked older.

Lyrics from the song HOME

When I think of home, I think of a place where there's love overflowing.

Journal :

Seven years ago, we are but strangers, minding our own separate lives.

But, Lotus Notes stepped in and brought us together.

This is what they call collaboration at its best! --- 2007

side note : Lotus Notes is an email software that Pre and I used at work. Aside from email, it can also be used for collaboration and workflow applications.
