Balloon

Bellaidea as she's known is a wonderful scrapper friend and we used to be in the SC DT together. We had this swap once where we swapped Webster's Pages papers with Scrap Cake papers. She also sent me some chipboards. And, she's celebrating her blog's 1st anniversary! I hope you can drop by her blog and greet her!

With her blogoversary, she also issued an inspiration challenge (see picture above). I was instantly inspired! Since it's very seldom these days where I get the mojo flow, I quickly cut my papers and come up with the layout above. They are all from Webster's Pages Sunday Picnic. Imagine me cutting the die cut paper (which I seldom touch on my WP packages) because I just don't have the heart. But, the die cut paper in Sunday Picnic just fit what I want to do with the layout.

I was very hooked with the gate and I wanted a similar thing on my layout. And, I knew that this photo was perfect for it!

Thank you to Bellaidea for the inspiration! Happy anniversary!

Love Love

I just wanted to quickly document what my Bebi A told me on our way home from school. We're usually chatty after school while Dawter T mulls over the day (silent and frowning)...

"Mommy, remember what I told you a few days ago."

She tells me a lot of things so I told her so.

"Remember, my crush." Hmmmm... "He was not at school for a few days."

"Yeah", I said.

"He came to school today," with matching "kilig" I believe...

OMG... Where is that coming from??? She's a very old six years old in that aspect. But, I know it's just fun for her. Although it's too funny sometimes... I can't helped feel where has the time gone?

Starting Over

It feels like I am in Primary school year 1 and I don't know what I am doing. But, for a few hours. It was just me, the scissors, the papers and glue. It's hard to start over. It's hard when the feeling is I can't let go of the Prima swirls, the cute papers or even the scraps. Hopefully, my next page won't be in another two months. I hope I really make time.

This layout is for Bebi A's show and tell tomorrow. It feels so bare. Maybe I should have used some glimmer mist... Hahaha... I've used some of the photos before, the last one is new, just this Christmas.

Time flies so fast. She's in year 1 and enjoying it soooo much. There are days I wonder if she'll feel the same if she was studying in Singapore.

Made From Scratch

I love the title, got it from Bo Bunny but it was so apt for this little girl. LOL. A week back, I asked her why is she soooo cute? She said she doesn't know, she's just cute! Hehehe...

Sketch 260

Where did July go? Well, I know... It went to my server upgrades, late night meetings and late nights Criminal Minds marathon hee hee... Has anyone of you watch CM? Don't you feel like you need to check if your doors are locked often during the entire episode? Well, I've finished all 6 seasons and eagerly awaiting for the 7th. Hahaha...

Well, it's a brand new week and that means a brand new sketch at SC! This week's sketch is brought to you by our new DT, Bev.

I find it truly, truly amazing that these two photos are different people. The one on the right is my daughter, Bebi A. And, the one on the left is me... I am so happy that we look so much alike but I hope she is happy too... Hahaha... She was telling me last night that her classmate told her that we look alike. I asked which picture did your classmate see. "Ohhh the one when I was just born" Hahahahaha... Really??? That was hilarious! She was just a few minutes old and her face all gooey and mushy because a few minutes ago she was just inside my tummy... Well... I don't know if her classmate was psychic or she's just trying to be funny, hahaha...

Born on the 5th of July

My baby is 6 years old today. How time flies... Sometimes I have to pinch myself really hard.

She's a notorious flirt. Hahaha... She has a crush on Bruno Mars.
Loves to sing songs but doesn't like to read.
She's very sweet. Likes to be hugged and kissed.
She's very generous with her time, with her things.

She likes to eat pasta without the sauce, just cheese.
Or noodles with rice? Carbo-loading.

I asked her one time what she wants to be when she grows up.
She said she wants to be a mommy. She wants to take care of her baby. Huh~

So, I don't dare ask again.

I couldn't believe that it's possible to love someone this much.
But, I love her more, much more than when I first saw her.
Much, much more as time passes by.

Little Girl

It has been a long time since I've created a layout just for me. I love that I ripped open the packaging of Prima swirls, rubons, Thickers and . *grins* The Prima butterfly is from my very good friend, Jolanda! Thanks, Sweetie!

This is a picture of Bebi A while on a horse. The horse was not captured in the photo. This is the first time she rode one and she was so excited and happy!

A Five Year Old Drawing

Wish I had taken a picture of Bebi A's drawing. But, I was too happy and tired to even think of it. Really long hours at the office this week but a few more days and I am back to my old schedule. Hehe.

Anyway, last night, my cheeky daughter was drawing a picture of me when suddenly she said, "Mommy, I can't draw you. I can't draw FAT!"

Hahahahahahahahahaha.

I tried not to laugh but I did. Oh, I will miss these "Kids Says The Darnest Things" moments when she's older and wiser. I try not to think about how fast my girls are growing up.

Here's sketch 111 at Scrapbook Challenges. I was not able to post this last Monday.

A Little Bit Of Sweetness

My Bebi, a few minutes after she woke up this morning. I can't believe she's 5! She's still my baby and probably will stay as such till forever. Hehehe. We had a busy weekend and I have no layout to share. Huhu. But the most important thing is my Bebi enjoyed her whole birthday celebration. We will have a simple dinner later tonight at home (as I will be working tonight arghhhhhhhhhh).

Thank you, Lord for another year. Thank you for giving me this sweet and beautiful girl --- inside and out. I love you, Bebi A!
-o-

I asked Bebi A to give me a number from 1 to 9. And, here's her choice... Drumroll please................

8

I asked the celebrant, why 8? Her only reply was I like 8! Duhhh... Hahaha After checking the number 8 comment, found out that it's LILIPUT!!! Congratulations Liliput!

I also want to announce the winner for chosen title... I love all your title suggestions and thank you for taking the time to comment. I really, really appreciate it!

The chosen title is the title of this post.

A LITTLE BIT OF SWEETNESS by JOLANDA

I promise to use the title very, very soon. It's perfect for my Bebi's picture which we took during her school celebration. I hope I can get time to sit down and create again. Hehehe. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday!

To Liliput and Jolanda, please drop me an email at totallydoodles@gmail.com with your home address and email.

I'll be sending the non-winners (Bebang, Margaret, Dress to Scrap, KatMarie, Benga, Jenn, Iszalil, Kerri) a little something in the mail, please also send me your addresses at totallydoodles@gmail.com.

Again, thank you very, very much!!!

Four

It's a brand new month at Scrappers AT SG and the July Angels are challenging you to stamp, emboss and create handmade flowers!

My Bebi who's no longer a Bebi is turning 5 on the 5th. Time flies so fast. And, she's growing up to be her own person. She's making decisions now. Hehe. Oh, I love this little girl so much.

>

Anyway, this layout took 5 hours to prepare but took me 30 minutes to execute. I couldn't find a photo of Bebi A. I've been scrapping Dawter T's photos that I haven't been printing solo pictures of Bebi A. (and last night my ink ran out), from my stack of papers --- none of them appealed to me last night, it has to compliment with the gold-embossed frame. So Webster Pages pp to the rescue! I guess, it's my go-to paper these days. And, of course since I was running out of time hahaha I was only able to make one paper flower (the green one) which I misted and "stickled", the pink roses are mulberry flowers. No other paper were used aside from the Webster Pages background paper and the paper rose which was made from scraps.

Sketch 203

Our weekend was a bit hectic. All day Saturday, we were busy --- busy watching Korean telenovela! I hate my sister for giving me the dvd. *wink* Once you start, you can't stop! I started at 8AM Saturday and we finished the whole thing by 11PM. Whew!

Sunday, we went to church and stayed there until 3pm to attend the Christening of my godson, JJr. Then, we went to celebration after. It was during the celebration that I got inspired to scrap about Bebi A. (Oh ok, I cheated a bit hahaha I already have Bebi A's photos printed, I just needed the push hihi)

Here's the heartwarming, gut wrenching story. For all parents out there, I am very sure that this is typical scenario among your kids.

The celebration was a 3-in-1 party. Baptism-Housewarming and 8th Birthday party. So, they also gave out loot bags to the kids. Dawter T got a Winnie the Pooh stationary set while Bebi A got a Minnie Mouse set. Being 8 years old, I can understand Dawter T, she's just not into Pooh anymore. She WANTED the Minnie Mouse set and has been persuading Bebi A into exchanging with her. Well, Bebi A was adamant with her NO. Dawter T was already making faces so to avert a scene. I talked to Bebi A. I told her to give the Minnie Mouse set to her "ate" (older sister), I mentioned that Pooh is for 4-5 years old (hehe) and Minnie Mouse is for 7-8 years old. She still told me that she doesn't want to give it to Dawter T.

After a few minutes, she talked to her "ate", she gave the Minnie Mouse set. Awwww. Then, I asked her if she likes Pooh now. She still said NO. She just want her "ate" to have it. Then, she will just give the Pooh set to her friend. Double Awwww.

Both Pre and I felt happy for Bebi A's love for her "ate". I just pray that she will stay that way and that Dawter T will appreciate it and love her more.

Here is Pamela's sketch 203 for Scrapbook Challenges. This is also my entry for Scrappers AT SG's Challenge #34 which was issued by the lovely Emeline Seet.

And, Yes, I did journal. Told you, I would!

Sketch 202

It's school holidays here and having the girls at home is good. They get to rest. No homework to come to hehe but the thing is, they sleep late because they have so much energy.

Here's Sketch 202 at Scrapbook Challenges. Don't you just love that kite? I fell in love with that! Hope you do too and join us at SC!

The Ordeal Is Over

Thank you so much for your prayers and concern! My little girl is on her way to recovery! She woke up very early asking for water and was not able to hold it down. *so scared at this point*

Then, we went out to the living room and hang. Her Ninang gave her some pens and we used that to play Tic Tac Toe. We noticed that she started sweating which is a good sign according to Ate A. As we played, I tricked *yeah* her to eating some rice and bacon. After she finished the serving, she started complaining of tummy ache again, she slept and we monitored if she will wake up to throw up. She did not!

She was a bit grumpy when she woke up. But lightened up when she asked if she can play Wii. I thought that it's a good sign so I let her. She was so lethargic the past few days so playing Wii Sports will really help her be active once more.

And, as they say, the rest is history. She played for maybe 3 hours --- tennis, bowling, baseball... And now, as I write this, she's in front of the computer, sharing time with her Ate T.

I am so thankful to God for this blessing, for His healing hands....

On Our Way Back

My Bebi A got sick during our vacation and has not recovered since. She's been vomiting since Tuesday and haven't eaten anything. I am really, really worried. I haven't gone back to work and I just hope that my boss will understand my predicament. I just can't leave the house for work and I just can't work from home these days.

I really hope she gets better soon. If not, I think she'll be checked in to a hospital so that she won't be dehydrated. Please help us pray for her recovery.

Pre-School

Did this in 30 minutes, quite simple but love the vibrant colors. Been 'munching' on the idea of creating a school bus for a few days now. Glad that it was not that hard.
Bebi A loved seeing this and that really made my day!

Gong Xi Fa Cai

So excited for the coming Chinese New Year, not because we're celebrating it but because there's no work this coming Monday and Tuesday. Time to relax at home with the family. Here's Bebi A this morning on her way to school. She was so excited today that she woke up as soon as she heard her Daddy's alarm, she ate breakfast today and was so so excited to wear this Chinese costume. This is a hand me down from Dawter T.

Hope

After our December hiatus, we're starting 2009 with Hope at Scrappers At SG. It's a year of uncertainties but most people I know are hoping that 2009 will be bestowed with blessings far more than we expect.

I always liked Emily Dickenson's saying about Hope. I was supposed to use my Rhonna Farrer rub-ons (the one in tin can). Unfortunately, those unused rub-ons could not be "rubbed" anymore. Wahhh! That's what I got from not using my supplies. I was a bit dissapointed because I liked that very much.

The Tear Ducts Have Dried

All morning, I couldn't concentrate on what I was doing because of Bebi A. Because she cried so much yesterday, she threw up at school. There was a bit of an improvement yesterday because she seemed happy when she told us about the star (suhol) she got from teacher and the friends she made at school. We thought she'd be excited today.

But, that's not the case. This morning, she cried when she took the bus.

I kept on looking at the time. I received sms from Ate A that my little girl arrived home happy and boasted that she didn't cry at school! Hallelujiah! Hehehe. I am one happy mom!

I wonder what stories she will tell me when I arrive home tonight.

The Saga Continues

So, the crying continued yesterday. I tried to exercise tough love at school. I didn't go to her when she was crying and almost wailing. But, the last few minutes, my soft heart crumbled and I showed my face to her. She cried, "Mommy, come!" She was really heartbroken because she ignored the indoor playground, she didn't play with the ball, slide and the house. She wouldn't budge from the seat near the piano.

But, one thing holds true, she has a healthy appetite! Haha. Because she gobbled her cheeze sandwich even though tears were rolling down her cheeks. And she had the gall to tell Ate A that she finished eating first! Mwahahaha.

Bebi A is so funny.

Before and After

Our school girl --- Dora look alike
With tears in her eyes --- about to go home...
She said it's because of the boy crying for his mama. So, she cried because she wants me near her.

She cried because the teachers didn't help her wash her hands. Ok, that sounded bratty hahaha but I guess she's lost and doesn't know what to do.

She cried when they were about to pray for grace. It's probably because she's too hungry and couldn't wait. She wolfed down the wafer biscuit and wanted to ask for more. Haha.

She cried because she wanted to ride the bus with me. She wanted to go home badly. She said she's very sleepy and tired at school.

At home, she said, she's no longer tired.

It'll be another day tomorrow. I am thinking of not going with her. My presence may not be good and she will just look and ask for me.
