Leaving on a Jet Plane

My luggage are packed but I'm not ready to go. I haven't bought my gifts for my colleagues yet. I am contemplating between Philippine Dried Mangoes or something made from Singapore, definitely not a key chain! Haha. Suggestions are welcome. *wink*

I'll be away for a conference/training for 2.5 weeks. Fairly long that I get sad when I think about my girls. Emotions, emotions, emotions.

This trip has been a dream for me. Eversince I was young, I've been wishing to go to the US. I almost worked there, my H1-B approved and all, but I stayed back because I can't bear to leave the family yet, when Daddy (Grandpa) just passed away. As my sister always tell me, I was not for the US because I had to go to Singapore to meet Pre. How cheesy! Haha...

Hope I don't get lost there.

Lots of Pink at {Create}

So glad with the overwhelming response at {Create)'s Go Pink challenge. There's still time to submit and every layout submitted corresponds to a dollar that will go to the Singapore Cancer Society.

Here's a sneak peak of what's in store for {Create} on the month of November.

Let's Be Clear

That's my challenge at Scrapbook Challenges. All you need to do is to use any "clear" elements. It could be a transparency, something made from acetate or even clear buttons. Can't wait to see what you'll come up with! And, remember, joining this challenge gets you in the drawing for the October prize from Inque Boutique!

Showbees

The pictures are fresh from the oven. Took it last Saturday at Dawter T's graduation concert. She got her Pre-school certificates and she was so happy playing as bee.

This is my take on Pamela's Sketch 114. Used the paper kit that Mareng B gave me for my birthday last year. I love the rubons! The papers were from the Rhonna Farrer collection.

Work Happened

Harassed is an understatement of what I am going through at work (and at home na rin hahaha) But I woke up today feeling refreshed. *wink* Well, it's a brand new day... Though I still managed to create an almost huge blooper earlier on, things went well, prayers work wonders!

Here's my take for Pamela's Sketch 113. I am a bit late posting. Sorry for my tardiness. Work Happened. hahaha.

All Of Us

My entry to Scrappin Kids October Challenge. It's their anniversary this month and they have lots of activities going on. Happy Anniversary, Scrappin Kids!

I chose Challenge #5 because it's about family. My papa who's here for a visit even commented that the title should have been "All 4 One, One 4 All" -- just because we're 4 in the family *wink* and that whatever happens, we are there for each other and that love will bind us together --- as family.

The photo was taken during Today's Parents Family Event as Plaza Singapura. It was actually a complimentary photo from Canon. It turned out great, love the Dawter T's dreamy look --- just shows her personality (sweet and always deep in her wonderland). Bebi sunshiny disposition is so evident in her smile. And as for Pre, the most loving and caring daddy.

Love the photo to bits, just have a tiny wish though... Wish I was thinner in the photo hahaha *dream on*

What I did with the paper? I traced my two pps from one of my "edgy" papers, from Rhonna Farrer. Ok ok, I can't just let go "yet" of that paper hehehe Actually the flowery B/W Imaginisce paper is just attached by glue to the polka dots B/W, also from Imaginisce. The edge on the polka dot B/W paper was originally straight cut but after staring at it for a long time, decided to put some edge to it also.

I especially love the title, I used MM shimmer alphas then used some of my black flowery rub-ons then cut it. I was aiming for MME die cut titles. I know it's a long way to go but I was happy nevertheless. I think of making more titles out of this technique. It's quite fun to do!

Hello, Beautiful!

Hop over to Webster Pages, the new collection --- "Hello, Beautiful" has arrived and it's awesome!

The new collection just overflows of vintage goodness. What's not to love?! Musical Notes, Polka dots and the one with the flowers are my faves!

Happy

Happy with friends. That's Dawter T's COF when she was in K1. Two of those are not her classmates anymore but I thought it would be nice if Dawter T sees this layout in her album and reminisce.

This is also my take on Pamela's Sketch 112. Come, join the fun and be eligible to win the October prizes which are stamps from Inque Boutique!

Thanks

This is a surprise card for M*m* hehehe We're very grateful for her help in our transition here to our new home, for bringing Dawter T to school, for everything.

Weekend Was A Blur

Weekend passed by in a snap. Why Oh Why? It was so hard getting up this morning especially when we had a whole day affair yesterday.

We went to mass at 11AM then went to Suntec to attend New Creation Church. But because Bebi A got a bit "daddy-sick and mommy-sick", she cried while she's in the Bible class which led to us being called by the moderator. I was so worried because the moderator said she threw up. Good thing, Pre had the presence of mind to ask the teacher to tell us what happened. At least we know that it's because she cried that's why she had that accident.

After that, we just waited for Dawter T to finish her Bible class then met with Papa, Mama and Sister C at Millenia.

We didn't get to attend the whole thing at New Creation but it was a different experience. I hope we get to go again.

When we arrived home, I finished my layout for Sketch 112. I actually started Saturday night but there was something missing. Then, I remembered that patterned paper that I had. A sneak peak of my take for Sketch 112. It'll be out later at Scrapbook Challenges.

And This Girl Has No Front Teeth

Cuteee Pie

Hasn't she grown? Well, she did. Her knickers are for 7yo. Her shirts and shorts are for 5yo. If it's too tight she won't wear it. Oh my cuteee pie!
Taken at Vivo City last Saturday.

Scrap Star

We've shared a number of years in HDB but we're from different units so it's very seldom that I got to talk to her. Then, we've become roommates once. But, since I was preparing for my wedding then, I guess, my mind was off to my wedding dreamland.

Fast forward to 2003, she and my hubby became close friends (that's when I moved to a new office, I guess you can say I monopolized my hubby's time hahaha). On 2005, she became Bebi A's godmother.

Last year was the turning point. I became so crazy about scrapbooking and got to talk to her a lot about it. Then, I went back to my ex-office where she is working also. So, lunch times became long conversations about life and office hours were about chatting on YM (shhhhh, we worked also!) and you all very well know what we do on Thursdays hahaha

I admire her. She has become a model to me of what a good daughter is. She's very close to her parents. She's very patient to friends (especially me!) and she has become an inspiration scrapbooking-wise.

So, without further ado. My Scrap Star!

I used cupcake papers (the scallop at the right) and SEI papers which I love so much and has probably seen in a number of my layouts lately. My fave in this layout is the title, loved stacking some of the AC Thickers. I also did some stitching. For those who know me knows I am not a "sewing" person. I haven't finished any cross-stitch patterns in my life and my sewing projects in grade/high school were all done by either Tita E or Mamay. But, I loved how the cross stitch on the journal blended with the LO.

Thanks for looking!

Overjoyed

Did this while attending my team's online meeting. Am I overjoyed that I had to attend at 10PM? Nope hahaha But, it is joy to use my scraps and turn it to a card which I can later give away to somebody. I just now have to find a reason to give this to someone...
This is for Scrapstars and it's quite cool that the sentiment has to from a song. Sure beats "Thank You", "Hello". But, then, I realized that they are also titles of a song. Hehe.

Sketch 111

Another week of scrapping inspiration at Scrapbook challenges using Pamela's Sketch 111. I love the circles on the sketch, the big and small ones. You've got to try it out!
And, toot for my dear friend Mader L for being Pamela's pick of the week!!! Woohoo!

You've Got To Write Stuff

So, it's over and I've announced the winner... It was so much fun hosting the challenge at Scrapbook Challenges. I was actually kinda scared at first hahaha.

Just want to encourage everyone to journal. It's one of the best things about scrapbooking, to be able to "story" tell.

Thanks to all those who joined the challenges. The new challenges are up so come and play at Scrapbook Challenges!

Here's a sneak peak at Pamela's Sketch 111.

Go Pink

This month's challenge at {Create} Make It Happen is to create a layout with something pink in it. It could be a pink ribbon, a pink cardstock, anything pink. It's for a good cause because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month!

Ed and some of the members will donate $1 to the Singapore Cancer Society for every layouts we received. So, scrappers out there (local and international), start scrapping pink and submit your entries to teamgroovie@yahoo.com! Deadline is on 30th October 12nn. The lucky "Go Pink" scrapper will receive a RAK from PapierHouse.

The Results Are Out

I didn't expect anything but I am so happy that I managed to be in the "Honourable Mention" list in The SketchBook Olympics! Yipee!

Still feeling sentimental. It was a great experience. And, I can only commend Megan, the judges and the moderators for coming up with great challenges.

Congratulations to those who won! Their work is really amazing!

It's About To End

I am a bit sad. Even though I was cramming week after week for the SketchBook Olympics. It sure helped me think out of the box! I am so pleased I managed to create layouts for all the challenges. The layouts that the other Olympians did were all awesome! So much inspiration week after week at the gallery and I am amazed at their creativity.

So, for the last challenge which is Archery, I created this layout. I used Love, Elsie papers, Stemma and Love, Elsie stickers. The arrows are chipboards from KI Memories.

Fun, Fun, Fun!

Guess who celebrated her birthday last September 30? SC's founder and moderator --- Pamela! Being the good sould that she is, she's giving away an awesome birthday RAK at her blog! Do check it out! Hmmm, I know some friends whom would love to have her RAK *wink wink*

I am so happy with all the entries for the "Write Stuff" challenge at Scrapbooking Challenges! But, there's still a few more days to submit your entries! So, what are you waiting for?

And for more inspiration, sketch 110 is also onboard!

It's now October! A few more months to go and it'll be Christmas. Then, it will be another year. Wow! Where did the days go? And, since it's another month, I am so excited to tell you that this month's sponsor at Scrapbooking Challenges is Inque Boutique! Woohoo! Your layouts for "Write Stuff" will give you a chance to win these goodies! That's not all, the layouts you submit for Pamela's sketches (starting from Sketch 110) and for the other DT's challenges (starting from Marilyn's Feel Your Way With Felt and Write Stuff) will give you more chances to win the stamps!
