Scrapbook Challenges Pit Stop #2

Welcome to Scrapbook Challenges' 2nd DT Blog Hop!

I am so glad you stopped by my humble abode. If this is your first time here, I am Sookie or Salme in most forums. I am your second stop in this hop! If you just stopped in, please make sure that you stop by Pamela's blog first so that you won't miss out on any inspiration from her. I tell you, her work is just amazing!

Our group, Scrapbook Challenges, is in MySpace. And, it's been there since 2007! Every week, Pamela issues an original sketch to challenge your creative side. Aside from the sketches, the design team also issues challenges, "games" and tutorials. If you need mojo-booster, join us at Scrapbook Challenges (that is, if you're not a member yet)!

Do you think it stops there? Na-ah! What's a challenge without a prize?! Every month, if you make a layout from the sketch/challenges, you are entered into a monthly draw for that month's grand prize! And, let me tell you, the prizes are AWESOME!!! Take a peek at this month's sponsored grand prize and you'll believe me!

On to our blog hop... Pamela conceptualize this sketch specifically for this event! She's so uber talented!

Here's my take on the sketch :

Gong Joo

Very seldom do I scrap about other people in my life. My scrap subjects are usually my daughters. I want to do something for Sister C with the photo below.

Gong Joo is princess in Korean. Fitting for her coz of her love for Korean drama. I added Prima flowers which she loveeeeee so much. Hehe. And after a long while, I finally used paper rolling! Woohoo, I think I'll be using this more on my future projects. It's just so much fun to do!

When I was writing the journal, it strucked me that she's a Princess because her father is the ONE TRUE KING. She has made Jesus the center of her life and I hope she will continue to do so. That she'll be more zealous in facing her challenges --- Aja aja Fighting!

Materials Used :
Scrap Within Reach Afternoon Tea Raspberry Lace
Scrap Within Reach Afternoon Tea Chantilly Cream
Scrap Within Reach Afternoon Tea Green Peony
American Crafts Thickers Rockabye
Prima flowers

Enjoy

This month is Ed's Sketch's 1st year anniversary and I wish them more success in their future endeavors and challenges! More power!

I used a flower stamp with small leaves on the side of the photo, I borrowed it from Sister C. I specially love the upper left corner of this layout. Tore the paper then pasted the same paper but using the back which is color maroon. Then cut out some flowers and leaves to compliment it.

Friends Forever

Using Sketch 160 at Scrapbook Challenges, made this layout that I also submitted to Scrap It Lah.

The picture was taken at Fisherman's Wharf in SFO. These two ladies are my best buddies. No matter how far, or near... How long or how short... We seem to pick up where we left of. I miss them so much. Z is from SFO while A is from Minneapolis. Ok, ok... I must mention the one who took the picture, our barkada's genius, Kuya S who's from NY. I am so grateful to them for coming to SFO to see me. It was a night to remember.

Blog Background

I am not in the right disposition to work... Maybe a bit lazy, still giddy from Bebi A's recovery so I just tinkered with my blog background. The new background you're seeing is made by yours truly. Hehehe... Still have to tinker some more to get the design I want but for now, this is the new face of my blog.

Delayed LO Posts

This is one of my SWR projects last August that I didn't get to post. Was really busy at work before our vacation. This uses Afternoon Tea collection. I used Sketch 159 at Scrapbook Challenges for this layout.

This was taken at Singapore Zoo while waiting for the elephant show.

The Ordeal Is Over

Thank you so much for your prayers and concern! My little girl is on her way to recovery! She woke up very early asking for water and was not able to hold it down. *so scared at this point*

Then, we went out to the living room and hang. Her Ninang gave her some pens and we used that to play Tic Tac Toe. We noticed that she started sweating which is a good sign according to Ate A. As we played, I tricked *yeah* her to eating some rice and bacon. After she finished the serving, she started complaining of tummy ache again, she slept and we monitored if she will wake up to throw up. She did not!

She was a bit grumpy when she woke up. But lightened up when she asked if she can play Wii. I thought that it's a good sign so I let her. She was so lethargic the past few days so playing Wii Sports will really help her be active once more.

And, as they say, the rest is history. She played for maybe 3 hours --- tennis, bowling, baseball... And now, as I write this, she's in front of the computer, sharing time with her Ate T.

I am so thankful to God for this blessing, for His healing hands....

The Scrappy Shack

While I wait for Bebi A to wake up so that I can force, haggle, blackmail her into eating... I blog hopped (Marix Marte and Jen Hansen) and found a GREAT GIVEAWAY AT SCRAPPY SHACK!

Head over to The Scrappy Shack and find out how to win awesome diecuts in celebration of Loree's birthday!

On Our Way Back

My Bebi A got sick during our vacation and has not recovered since. She's been vomiting since Tuesday and haven't eaten anything. I am really, really worried. I haven't gone back to work and I just hope that my boss will understand my predicament. I just can't leave the house for work and I just can't work from home these days.

I really hope she gets better soon. If not, I think she'll be checked in to a hospital so that she won't be dehydrated. Please help us pray for her recovery.
