The Flip {Side}

This is my take for Scraplift the POTW Week 4. I really made a career out of this new challenge at Scrapbook Challenges. Is it too obvious that I LOVE the prize?! Haha...

I finally used those years old papers. There's just something with pink and green that makes it hard for me to let go of them. Made these last Wednesday then added the butterflies this morning. The butterflies seemed out of place but I just had to show off (hehe) my newly acquired Martha Stewart puncher hahaha I couldn't leave the house this morning without trying it out even though Pre was still sleeping (he's on leave, hmp!).

This is Dawter T when she learned to roll over. She's such a cuteee and there's just the wonder of first born that you document everything. (Sorry Bebi A hahaha I did take pictures but not as many as Ate's!)

Here she is now with Bebi A. If I don't threaten them, they wouldn't even look from the Nintendo DS. Time really does fly.

Day 4 of Pamela's Week Long RAKs

She is just soooo generous!!! You have to hop over at her blog to see for yourself. But I can't contain myself and I just need to tell you that she's giving away over 200 Rusty Pickles patterned papers!!!

Hop, hop and away!

Day 3 of Pamela's Week Long RAKs

Pamela is giving away 3 Jillibean Soup clear stamps! Woohoo!

Want to win them, hop here --->

Please

pray for sweet Reese and the rest of their family. She will be undergoing surgery on March 31st. I believe in the power of prayer and the Lord's healing hands. And the power of prayer of those who believe is more powerful than anything.

Honesty

Nothing crafty this weekend as we had guests from Philippines, a birthday party that we attended and a trip to the LSS/Build A Bear. It's not from lack of trying. I have the picture but I couldn't decide which paper to use.

That penguin above is Dawter T's Honesty Penguin for school. She wanted papers with hearts. Glad that I still had some scraps from WRMK. Helped her with the cutting, couldn't helped myself. I just had to be the meddling mother.

Chill

Taken at Wild, Wild Wet. I was not here coz I was working! Hmp! My girls were asking me if they can go there once again, this time --- with me in tow. Let's see. My skin seems to have a reaction with chlorine and it gets really itchy afterward. Boo Hoo! Such a shame coz I love to swim.

I am very happy with this layout. Didn't know that pasting strips of paper could be a lot of work. We had a quiet camaraderie last night at our room. Pre was watching NBA, the two girls playing DS and me scrapping.

The orange ribbon (?) was an inspiration from Sister C and Bebang. I've seen it countless times from other layouts and I didn't have the guts coz

(a) I am not a very good ribbon tie-r (if there's such a word but Cute#1 will definitely agree)
(b) It's not me but last night I found out that I can diverse
(c) I sually don't embellish (as you can see how little embellishments I have on my layouts and I will always be in awe and jealous of those who put a lot, I just can't seem to do it, why???)

Another thing to be happy with this is that those strips of papers are very old Dream Street pps, the sun is from my Sassafras scraps and the background green paper was from my dear cousin B.

Yey for the weekend! It's time to chill-ax!

Us

I love taking the day off to scrap. LOL. Though this was not my intention. I was just so tired from the weekend that I had to take another day off. And, luckily, I don't need to go to work tomorrow, I am going to a technology forum (ok, it'll be boring hahaha).

My resolution for this weekend to scrap 3 layouts. And I managed to so though it extended til Monday. Still Webster Pages, they are my only new papers. And, these are even the Christmas collection which I used for a non-Christmasy photo.

Being the layout of the week at Made With Love also inspired me plus meeting (online) new scrapmates. And of course, I have to mention the prize for the Scraplift that POTW at Scrapbook Challenges, my ultimate inspiration! Ha! LOL!

Something's Missing

But I don't know what to add anymore. It's my first time to make banners in a layout. And, there's no tearing here. I should have used the Hershey's wrapper that I have *burp* consumed. LOL. That would add a nice touch.
Used Sketch 189 at Scrapbook Challenges.

Who We Are

Since last Wednesday, I have been trying to scrap. I bring out a bunch of papers but I will put them back after awhile. I was too stressed. Too much happened at work that I just worry, worry, and worry.

But, scrapbooking is one of the food of my soul. Well, second to prayers. *wink* Scrapbooking as I always say takes me to another world where it's just papers and me. And, of course, my scissors. Result, I got to destressed.

I love feeling relieved. Wait til Monday comes. Hahaha.

This photo was taken by Dawter T at Bukit Batok Nature Park. (?) One Sunday afternoon (close to 6pm actuall), we trekked the park to take pictures. We were tired. Bebi A kept on drinking our ice cold water, kept on complaining. But Pre managed to take some really beautiful pictures (beautiful in my eyes hehehe). Yey!

A mix of old OA papers and Webster pages. And this is a take for Scrapbook Challenges Scraplift the POTW challenge. You have to go to Scrapbook Challenges to get to see the prize!

We have a full weekend, just came back from Dawter T's school for Meet The Parents event then later off to catechism class, then mass (we're going to mass tonight because there's a Pacquiao boxing match tomorrow, yep!). Hope I can still scrap 1 or 2 more while watching. Hehe.

Have a great weekend, Everyone!

Be You

My little lady here is just 4 years old and the picture was taken at Botanical Gardens. When I look at her pictures, I feel that she looks the same but when I talk to her, she would surprise me with her wisdom. She has really grown. And, sometimes, I just want to pull back time and cuddle her. She still likes to hold my hand when sleeping though and that reassures me that I still have my baby.

The papers are from Sassafras. But that green one beneath the black Sassafras was a paper I had when I started hoarding. Though I had second thoughts of using it. I closed my eyes and breathe. Hehe. It's about time. It's 5 years old if I am not mistaken. It feels good to be using really old papers.

Hope you have a great weekend! Had to work yesterday from 9 to 9. And I was soooo tired. Not a way to spend my Saturday when my husband and girls were off at Wild Wild Wet. *sad*
