Today

My very first 2 page layout. This is a challenge #18 at Scrappers At SG. I thought it would be very hard for me to finish one. Yes, it took some time because there were criterias to be met. But, after selecting my background and photos, ideas came and ta-da!

I think the secret is to blocking and to fill it up with lots of photos. Hahaha

Thanks, Cute#1 for the wonderful challenge!

Blessed

I've never felt so blessed in my whole life than this week (that's why even though this is my scrap blog, I want to share with you my thoughts... Hehehe). I've been going through some trials as of late and it is keeping me restless the whole day and night.

But, the Lord has been showing me How great He is, that He is a good provider! That if I rely on Him, everything will fall into place. It happened.

The things I've asked of him happened. That just shows how wonderful He is.

To all who of us who is going through a rough patch, cheer up, we are blessed! Call on to Him who knows your needs. He will bless you.

As what my Sister C told me, "GREAT EXPECTATIONS"! Expect, Plan and the Lord will make way.

Totally Scrappable (if there's such a word)

Taken by Tita R who is a graphics designer by profession. Loved what she did with the photo. And, my darling daughter managed to wear this dress for maybe about an hour before she stained it with M&Ms Hehehe Isn't she a cutie? Looks just like Mommy! Hahaha...

S is for SUSAN

It has been a long time since my last completed LO. My cousins were here for vacation. We had a fun time at MWL for a mini-workshop cum Sister C's birthday celebration. It was fun sharing this hobby with my cousins. Now, they're hooked!

Here's an LO for {Create} that I started last Sunday but only finished last night. I made some boo boos that's why I had to destress the Dream Street paper. But, I liked the outcome. I hope my Mama likes it too. I'm giving it to her as birthday present cum Mother's Day! Hehehe...

Since I am currently in the "blur" mode. I played around with PS and produced this.

Spot the difference? I like the one with PS touch.

Tagged!

I've been tagged by Marix and Lily ... Here are the rules that I'm supposed to follow:

1. Link back to the person that tagged you.

2. Post these rules on your blog.

3. Share six unimportant things about yourself.
  • I love Nancy Drew and Sweet Dreams pocketbooks when I was young.
  • I don't have the knack for cross-stitch and sewing.
  • I like Coke after it has been opened (and was left unopened).
  • I am not fond of dogs nor cats.
  • I like Chamomile Tea.
  • I only comb my hair 2-3 times a day. Thanks to the one who invented "rebonding"!

Happy Mother's Day!

At Last

I was watching Grey's Anatomy before I did this. And, I sort of related it to my cutting the "Little Yellow Bicycle Butterfly/Pink Journal" patterned paper (from the Sharon Ann Delightful collection). I hesitated --- a lot! Hahaha... I was like George during Season 1 Hahaha

The yummy patterned paper was so beautiful and it broke my heart to cut the birds and butterflies. But, with this layout, I only used 2 patterned papers : the base with the very pretty Deja Views Blue and the Little Yellow Bicycle --- I used the front and back. And, I still have a lot left! Dawter T was eyeing the remaining butterflies on the paper but it's Earth Month. I don't want to waste paper! Hehe...

(Note : the almost yellow background is our floor - hehehe. It gave me an idea while I was cropping the photo that I could actually paste the base on another base because it made the Deja View Blue stand out more but--- I want to save trees! I am already happy with this!)

Lily @ 33

Happy Mother's Day to my dear friend, Lily. Here's an LO I made for her. One of the new things I tried is selective coloring of the photo using Adobe PS. I made the background B/W. Another one is to paint the swirls with pink acrylic paint (no big deal but first time I tried this hehehe) and further highlighted them byputting glossy accents. Love this! It's like making your own gel die cuts.
Happy Mom's Day!

May Day

May Day! May Day! Cannot scrap, cannot scrap!

It's really not lack from trying, but the creative juices just won't flow. So, we just had a movie marathon and gazillion of tears flowed out from my eyes this afternoon! *Sniff, sniff, sniff*

But,

Sister C managed to finish one and the subject is --- tada --- me and Pre! It's one of our wedding photos that I wish to scrap but just gave it to her after seeing her other wedding LO. I was so touched that she used her precious Prima flowers and papers on that LO! Mwah! I love it!!!

Well, that's me (15 kg ago) and Pre (when he still has hair)! Sister C asked me to put my own journal. Here's my contribution to the LO! Hehehe

Journal :

Remember the day our lives became one. I was very nervous. I think I didn't sleep at all. I kept on thinking of all the little details that can go wrong. I know it's quite trivial but the thing is, the reason I was not thinking about us is because I am very sure of my feelings for you that I had no second thoughts. I just want a day that we'll remember for the rest of our lives.

Tomorrow's Friday! Hope things are better at work! If not, I will just ask Sister C to eat at Jolly-V! Hehehe...

Out Cold

I was down with stomach flu last Sunday til Monday, but was givena 2 day MC til yesterday. If I am not wrong, it's one of the few times that I didn't blog hop while on leave. I must be really sick! There's still pain every now and then, but I am ok now. Though, there was something unexpected at the office to welcome me back. Anyway, at least it's over and it's a no work day again tomorrow.

Last Saturday, we celebrated Scrappers At SG's 1st anniversary. We had loads of fun! Our aim is to be able to scrap one LO during that meet. To add a twist to it, we had to scrap another scrapper's photo. I got Bheng's photo and this is what I did! I hope Bheng and Duday liked it!
