I Am Not Vain
Sometimes, I look in the mirror to see if I have lines. You know, the one that comes with age. And, I do have! Wahhh... And, and, and I don't look young anymore even though I shortened my hair.
In my workplace, I am one of the "older" colleagues. Thus, I feel OLD. I am the one with the 8 year old while they're pregnant with their first babies or their baby just turned one. Hehehe.
I guess it's a matter of acceptance. When there are times I wish I am still 25. I am also happy that I am now 35. That my daughter is turning 8 soon. I just can't get over that I am 20kg bigger than when I was 25! Hahaha!
Hope everyone will have a great weekend!

Thank You
July Madness
I have some projects that I need to do, projects that I want to do. But, I need space in the literal sense. I don't have much at home and I'm sure my husband is a ticking bomb on this area. If I catch him in a really bad mood and he sees the mess, some of my supplies will probably be ermmm compromised as he has plans to put them in the store room *sigh*. Hahaha. Arghhh... I am planning to housekeep soon. And, I am keeping my eyes closed for now (maybe this moment until I am tempted again). I really need to use my supplies and save. Hehe.
And allow me to plug a bit, there's still time to register to Pamela's class at Scrapbook Challenges. It'll be fun!

Thirty-Five
This won't be a scrappy post. I would just like to share a bit of me today through writing.
I turned 35 today. I don't feel a year older nor wiser, LOL. But, I learned a lot through all these 35 years. Like how my life has been blessed and that I shouldn't regret anything, even a tiny bit of what had happened so far. I am blessed to be called a daughter of the Almighty. From the moment I was born, He has shaped my life to what it is now.
I turned 35 today. I love my husband and children more than my life. They are my today and tomorrow. I love the times we spend together. Though there are moments of indifferences when my husband is busy with his Iphone Apps or my girls are too busy playing Nintendo DS hahaha I know that I am still the wife/mom they would look for later on when the battery runs out.
I turned 35 today. I love the family who brought me up. We're a close knit family and I am very thankful for that. Life has sure been fun with all the childhood games, the summer outings, the love.
I turned 35 today. All these years, I've had friends who's always there, who always remember me for no reason at all. Whom I can laugh, cry with. And no matter the distance, our thoughts synched up the moment we touch base. And, I thank the new friends I meet "offline" and "online". You have made my world colorful.
I turned 35 today. Thank you for the work that has bought me scrapbooking materials. Hehehe. Of course, that's the top of my list. Seriously, though I want to scream and pull my hair sometimes, I am thankful for the opportunites that my current company gives me.
I turned 35 today. Thank you to all who stopped by and read this. I've been blessed to have you celebrate with me.

The Bravest Thing I've Ever Done
Here's my original journal which I wasn't able to fit in the baggages. LOL!!! Just so I can share my feelings about this. The challenge was really a challenge for me. Because I don't consider myself as daring.
*****
24 years was too long to lead a secure life... Most of the time, I didn't have to worry about what I was going to eat because I know by the time I reach home from work, there will be food on the table waiting for me... Or if I have clean clean clothes to wear... That time, tomorrow was just another day... I couldn't and shouldn’t ask for anything more.
But, something within me was uncertain, there was a desire to be on my own… To start my life… It was scary yet exhilarating.
The opportunity came knocking. I thought about it. At home, I had control. If I go, I would be losing myself in CHANGE and I am not that person who easily adapts to change. I battled with myself internally. Should I go or not? Should I leave family and friends behind? In that new world, there will be challenges unknown, barriers to counter yet deep inside, I know I will find myself, my purpose.
It’s time to become an adult. To make decisions for my life. To clean up my mess later on. And no matter how scared I was, I decided to go. I went without knowing my destination… I was not prepared… It was just time to become an individual. I needed to go and leave the only life I’ve known so that I can fulfill my hopes and dreams.
Eventually, I got to know myself… That I can do laundry (I was really scared of handwash, I don't know why! Thank you to washing machine!), I can cook "edible" food, I can take care of myself. LOL! That I can face this new world heads on. I met new people, seen new sights. It was not scary after all. It was my life’s greatest adventure.

Just can't resist to add to the story...
On my way to Singapore, I met my husband on a training we had to take before we start work. It's fate. Hahaha.
And this card is from the left-overs. I used 3 Webster Pages' patterned papers. The background of the layout was called NEW DISCOVERIES. It was so fitting for the theme of my page. Hahaha. The flowers (my staple these days) added color to the card and not to mention the little girl on the swing. When I look at her, it feels like life is so simple to dwell on stuffs. And, that's what I am going to do. Let go of things I can't change (wink to Cute#1) and enjoy the process.

I am so happy that I finally scrapped. Ok, my mojo had a leave, what with Bebi A's and Pre's birthdays. Then, last Saturday, I was busy with a server upgrade. Ohhhh, it feels so good to finish a layout! Woohoo! The layout is based on Sketch 207 at Scrapbook Challenges.
This layout is for the challenge at ScrapFIT. It's one of the challenge blogs that I always blop hop on to. This is my first time to join them and for this Workout #23, you have to make something handmade. I made two vellum handmade roses. I had wanted to try these handmade roses on a vellum since I started making these. I thought it would not look good but Bebang tried it and her vellum roses were pretty! I used my Webster Pages's Seaside Retreat vellum scraps for the handmade roses.

The Studio
The challenge is on... We have to scrap about the bravest thing we ever did... Since I saw the email this morning, I kept thinking of what would I scrap about. I am not the bravest chick out there. In fact, I consider myself otherwise --- running away from insects when I see them, chickening out on bunjee jumping, and the list goes on... Haha...
I know what I want to scrap about. I have an idea. I just need to put them in paper. Hehe.
Wish me luck...

My Bebi who's no longer a Bebi is turning 5 on the 5th. Time flies so fast. And, she's growing up to be her own person. She's making decisions now. Hehe. Oh, I love this little girl so much.
>
Anyway, this layout took 5 hours to prepare but took me 30 minutes to execute. I couldn't find a photo of Bebi A. I've been scrapping Dawter T's photos that I haven't been printing solo pictures of Bebi A. (and last night my ink ran out), from my stack of papers --- none of them appealed to me last night, it has to compliment with the gold-embossed frame. So Webster Pages pp to the rescue! I guess, it's my go-to paper these days. And, of course since I was running out of time hahaha I was only able to make one paper flower (the green one) which I misted and "stickled", the pink roses are mulberry flowers. No other paper were used aside from the Webster Pages background paper and the paper rose which was made from scraps.
